A lot of people that I've asked can think of at least one famous quotation that has stuck with them for some reason and really means something. Mine is "Imperfection is beauty. Madness is genius. And it is better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring," said by Marilyn Monroe, and I feel like that's the essence of me as a person and how I try to live my life.
